I still find it bizarre it's just InDesign that won't launch whereas other Adobe apps work fine and putting the same drive in another machine results in InDesign launching. looking at InCopy as that launches fine on the system and definitely looks like a better choice for what we want to achieve. I'm not convinced it's the graphics driver though as if force it to the Microsoft Basic Display Driver I still see the same error. It isn't listed as compatible with this system but it installs and works so it was worth a go as the listed driver is older. I've also tried the latest BETA DCH v25.20.100.6448 graphics driver from Intel to see if that helps but no change. All our tests have been clean installs with a format of the SSD, no in-place upgrades. We've tried that and regular Enterprise versions of 18 to rule out any issues with 2016 LTSB missing something as it's a bit old now, as well as the latest 2019 LTSC which is just 1809.Ĭlean installs straight from the MS ISO's then just the latest drivers from Intel and CC and InDesign. We normally run 2016 LTSB which is 1607 as we don't use any of the Windows 10 stuff at all in our business and most of it is VDI (we're installing this on the hardware though and not in VDI). Here's the error from the Windows Event Viewerįaulting application name: InDesign.exe, version: 14.0.1.209, time stamp: 0x5beb1679įaulting module name: PlugPlugOwl.dll, version: 9.2.1.39, time stamp: 0x5b923bf4įaulting application start time: 0x01d4960b764e2619įaulting application path: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe InDesign CC 2019\InDesign.exeįaulting module path: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe InDesign CC 2019\PlugPlugOwl.dll Not when we put it in a different system and it works straight away. It's a clean install on a clean system with 1 user account it shouldn't be that which is causing the issue. We have tried various GPU driver versions but we always see the same result with InDesign not even launching and the same error being reported in the event log.Īll of the general advice online about clearing cache and prefs makes no difference. This leads us to believe there is something incompatible with the hardware or drivers with the NUC6CAYH but we are unable to fathom it. If we pull the SSD out, make no changes and connect it to an NUC7i5BNH which consists of: We see the same results regardless of the Windows 10 versions we have tested. This machine is off the domain with no group policies applied it's as stock Windows as you could possibly get with no changes to system settings. We have tried this on a clean install of Windows 10 with all of the latest drivers and firmware from Intel with just Adobe CC and InDesign installed. Other apps like Photoshop and Bridge launch and work fine. We're not expecting the software to run fast at all like our dedicated designer's PCs but it should launch seeing as it's well within Adobe's minimum system requirements of a Pentium 4 or better. We're trying to run it on an Intel NUC6CAYH which consists of: At the moment we're trying these PC's on trials and have tried 20 which both show the same issue. Granted the hardware is low powered but we only need a couple of users to be able to update a couple of text fields and it's stopping us from purchasing additional subscriptions on our teams license. We are seeing the exact same issue with InDesign.

Funding for conservation programs is made possible through the continued support of zoo guests. The Gulf Breeze Zoo is privately owned and receives zero tax dollars. Our goal is to assist in the conservation of local and national species by giving them as much attention as we do to the larger, more well-known species. Conservation is important not just for the species in foreign countries but also for many of our local animal friends. Trying to solve the world's continually changing wildlife concerns, the Gulf Breeze Zoo collaborates with other zoos and field experts to support rhinoceros and elephant anti-poaching units, install artificial nest sites for wild penguins and translocate giraffes across the Nile to boost sustainable genetics. Downfall: A Story Of Corruption Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes BackĪway from the intensity of the tables you can always relax, put some music on the R2-D2 Jukebox, and admire your cave. They don’t alter the pinball mechanics in any way but having those means you can swap the Powers/Talents around and change your strategy if you take those pinball high scores seriously. Upgrading them will increase their special bonus, nicely upping the ante when playing in Arcade Mode. Do so and you’ll be awarded points on Force Powers and Force Talents. They’ll each have their own particular challenges such as hit a particular score within a time limit or last for a set time with only one life. This is where you can play through the Career Mode with five chapters split down into ten missions each. Naturally, every Fan Cave has to have a huge TV. Dig a little deeper and you also have an Arcade Mode and a Career Mode which are sort of intertwined yet hold the key to the monstrous scores. Classic Mode is exactly as you’d expect, no-frills just you, a couple of buttons to mash, and some expert timing. Thankfully, Star Wars Pinball VR features a couple of different ways you can engage with the tables to keep the gameplay interesting. For the most part, you’re going to be aiming for table high scores as some massive scores are required to unlock some of the rarer unlockables like the Darth Vader statue or Baby Yoda. There aren’t too many of these moments but they do add a pleasing side touch to the whole experience. There’s a sequence that can be unlocked during The Mandalorian whereby you control Mando for a brief time, blasting the ball away with your wrist-mounted flamethrower. However, there are in-table moments that do work very well. It’s the one feature in Star Wars Pinball VR which ruins the illusion of playing pinball in VR, so stay clear. You’re almost too close to the action making it tricky to track the ball, plus the ball looks really fake like it’s floating around the table. Called ‘Immersion Mode’ it looks great if you want to admire the table but not so much for actually playing it. So you can view each one from the standard overhead view or actually jump inside for a close-up look. DORAEMON STORY OF SEASONSĮven with the older PC pinball tables, Zen Studios has given them a reworking. And that’s not even counting the VR additions. Read the table description if you want to see all that they have to offer. The tables are incredibly complex with multiple stages to unlock as well as new animations. Being pinball, the mechanics are very easy to pick up and play yet don’t let that fool you. Apart from the main central flippers, all the tables have varying degrees of additional flippers so there’s a sizable learning curve when you start a fresh one. They’re all extremely intricate, fascinating to look at, almost overwhelming to begin with. Which is great once you found a couple of favourites (which you will). Unlike Pinball FX2 VR which had separate tables, in Star Wars Pinball VR all eight are housed in one unit, keeping the cave nice and tidy but also meaning you can quickly and easily switch between the tables. So you’ve got tables such as Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope which come from the original Star Wars Pinball videogame but there are new inclusions like The Mandalorian. To do so you’re provided with eight tables, each with its own unique design and characters depending on what part of the franchise they’re based on. You’ll find yourself in a fairly barebones Fan Cave, with lots of empty shelving, plinths, and poster frames to be filled. On a PC, simply hover over an image on your desktop. If you’re not familiar with finding this, you can always save the image to the desktop of your computer to easily find the pixel count. It’s easy to identify because it will be two sets of numbers, for instance: 1200x1800. The pixel dimensions of an image are displayed fairly often in various places on your computer and in your camera. For the technical minded, you can check out an informative Wiki article on resolution here. This is the most basic and universal way of referring to resolution, and doesn’t run the risk of being misconstrued. Resolution deserves its own article, but for the intents and purposes of this post we will just use the pixel dimensions of the image. The first step is to determine the resolution of your image by looking at the pixel dimensions of your original file, or a file that has been manipulated with non-destructive editing (meaning you haven’t cropped it or changed it in any way that will affect the quality of the image.) This article will help you determine the range of printing options you have with a given file. There’s actually a lot of leeway on any given image depending on several factors, including what your tolerance is of flaws, how much money you are willing to invest in the print, and how the image will be displayed. It’s a tricky question because there’s no single exact answer. So now you’re wondering: exactly how big can I print my image? Maybe it can go above the fireplace so your friends can see what a great time everyone had. The 360kg spacecraft, about the size of a golf cart, will deliberately crash itself into a small asteroid at a velocity of 6.6km/s.ĭART is a very basic spacecraft, developed and built by the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, and fitted out with little more than an ion engine, a few small thrusters, five Sun sensors and a star tracker, simple radio antennas for communicating with Earth and a camera. Scientists don’t even know what the best strategy would be, although the ‘kinetic impactor’ technique – basically, kicking the oncoming rock out of the way – appears to be a relatively simple, effective and cheap solution. "We need to find those objects before they find us," says Kelly Fast, director of NASA’s Planetary Defense Coordination Office. Today, they know of over 2,200 ‘potentially hazardous asteroids’ (PHAs): objects larger than 140m in diameter that can approach our planet to within 7.5 million kilometres. Asteroids and their risk to EarthĮver since the discovery of 433 Eros in 1898 – the first asteroid known to cross the orbit of Mars – astronomers have realised that Earth is at risk from cosmic impacts. NASA will test the technology to do just that, by firing a half-tonne spacecraft into a small asteroid in an attempt to deflect its path. Some 50,000 years ago, a small asteroid slammed into northern Arizona, USA, leaving a 1,200m-wide impact crater and turning the area into a wasteland.Ī similar impact today would have catastrophic consequences – unless we could find a way to divert the space rock. A meteor crater near Winslow, Arizona, USA. Why is NASA doing this? Well, over its 4.5 billion year lifetime, Earth has been battered and pummelled by cosmic collisions.
